A beautiful rainbow formed as a storm moved west off the ocean at sunset on Nov. 20, 1999, south of Melbourne Beach, Florida. Here's another view of the Nov. 20 rainbow.

A storm on Nov. 21? Yep. That's Florida for you. Here it forms a shelf cloud over the Indian River. Same short-lived shelf cloud, other half. Cool, huh?

A beautiful little cumulonimbus forms on Nov. 21 west of the beach in Cape Canaveral, Florida. The gulls take flight at sunset while another storm blossoms out to sea.

The cruise ships were leaving Port Canaveral on Nov. 21 as the sun set and lightning played within a storm cell over the ocean.

The morning of Nov. 22, pretty clouds build off Satellite Beach, Florida. Rain pours from one of the clouds over the ocean.

Could it be the beginning of a waterspout? Nah. But these cloud tendrils on the morning of Nov. 22 were intriguing. The night of Nov. 22, an Atlas rocket was launched from Cape Canaveral. Here's the view from the beach to the south.

Nov. 28 brought another fabulously delicate sunset to the beach at Cape Canaveral. A Disney cruise ship heads out at sunset on Nov. 28 as fellow chaser Cheryl Chang runs along the beach.
