16 May 2015:
Beautiful layered shelf cloud in Nebraska

May 16, 2015: After a difficult couple of days dealing with car issues after hitting a deer, I got a rental and did a mini-chase in Nebraska between McCook and Holbrook. I waited for middling storms to make their way to me, and they formed a beautiful if short-lived layered shelf cloud. Share

East of McCook, I waited for storms to move toward me.
At first, there wasn't much structure.
I loved the tracks stretching to the storm.
A nice shelf cloud started to form.
    The shape became more defined.
Beautiful striations formed in the shelf cloud.
    Road to beauty.
I tried to keep ahead of the shelf cloud.
The storm weakened, but it ended prettily, with a few mammatus above the shelf cloud.
